Student Wellbeing at Svenska Privatskolan i Uleåborg

Student Reports on SPSU's Wellbeing

Filmed and edited by: Fanni,

Judging the well-being of SPSU from a tour around the school. It appears to look like a really nice and positive environment. There are posters plastered around the school that talk about where to seek help from, giving out contact information about different places to talk at. We noticed that there are a lot of projects created by younger students. Showcasing the eagerness and creative elements of students, we find it amazing how the school lets the students express their creativity and that there's more to showcase than just academic performances.

Due to the school being smaller, a community gets built easier. It was easy to notice how the kids were close to each other and familiar with the teachers. Walking around the school, the teachers greeted us, even while not being a part of the project. The lessons were calm and the kids weren’t interruptive. The classes were quite small, making it an easy space to ask for help, and for students to get the support they need.
